GRE Offshore Platform & Marine Pipe

The GRE Offshore Platform & Marine Pipe is manufactured using high-strength fiberglass and epoxy resin, employing advanced winding technology. This Glassfiber Reinforced Epoxy (GRE) piping system is designed specifically for marine and offshore applications, offering a combination of lightweight construction, low cost, superior corrosion resistance, and excellent fire resistance when compared to traditional steel pipes.

  1. BL 16B:
    1. Standard GRE pipe with an inner resin-rich liner.
    2. Fire Resistance: Level-3 per IMO A.753(18).
  2. BL 16B-C:
    1. Conductive GRE pipe with an inner conductive veil and continuous conductive filaments.
    2. Fire Resistance: Level-3 per IMO A.753(18).
  3. BL 16B-F:
    1. Fireproof GRE pipe with a reinforced “Fire-proof Coat.”
    2. Fire Resistance: Jet Fire qualification per OTI 95 634.
  4. BL 16B-CF:
    1. Combines the conductivity features of BL 16B-C with the fireproofing features of BL 16B-F.
    2. Fire Resistance: Meets both Level-3 and Jet Fire standards.

Construction

  • Pipe Manufacturing: Filament winding with an amine-cured thermosetting resin impregnated with continuous glass filaments.
  • Fittings: Epoxy resin fittings manufactured by filament winding, with conductive fittings featuring an inner conductive veil and filaments.
  • Flanges: Standard ANSI B16.5 Class 150 bolt hole patterns. Other standards (ANSI B16.5 >300Lb, DIN, ISO, JIS) available upon request.

Joint Systems

  1. Socket Joint:
    1. For sizes 40 mm to 400 mm (1.5″ to 16″).
    2. Features a positive stop for easier installation.
  2. Flange Joints:
    1. For sizes 450 mm to 1000 mm (18″ to 40″).
    2. Available with straight or tapered bell and spigot configurations.
