Carbon Steel Products Quality Control & NDT | API-Compliant QA/QC
Our high-performance carbon steel pipes are manufactured by Tianjin United Petroleum Technology Co. Ltd., supported by rigorous QA/QC processes, advanced testing equipment, and full traceability. Every pipe is produced, inspected, and certified to meet API, ABS, CCS, and project-specific standards, ensuring reliable performance for critical pipeline applications.
Full QA/QC Oversight
Our quality assurance and control procedures ensure that each batch of carbon steel pipes meets strict technical and regulatory requirements:
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): All pipes undergo Fluorescent Magnetic Particle Inspection (FMPI) and other approved NDT methods to detect surface and near-surface defects.
Material Test Certificates (MTCs): Every pipe is fully traceable from steelmaking through manufacturing to final delivery, with complete documentation provided to clients.
Inspection & Compliance: Pipes are verified against API, ABS, and CCS standards, as well as project-specific requirements.
Batch Monitoring: QA/QC is applied to every production batch to ensure consistent performance and reliability.
Advanced Testing & Laboratory Capabilities
Petronich Pipe Solutions leverages state-of-the-art testing equipment for chemical, mechanical, and dimensional verification, giving us a strong competitive advantage:
Spark Optical Emission Spectrometer (SparkCCD 7000)
Purpose: Measures chemical composition to verify alloying elements (C, Mn, Si, Cr, Mo, Ni, V, Nb, Ti, P, S)
Applications: Casing, tubing, couplings, pup joints, OCTG accessories
Importance: Critical for API 5CT compliance; ensures proper strength, weldability, hardenability, and prevents brittleness or sulfide stress cracking
Advantage: In-house testing enables faster delivery, reduced rejection, and higher client confidence in US & Canadian projects
Impact Testing Machine
Purpose: Measures impact toughness (absorbed energy in Joules)
Importance: Verifies steel resistance to sudden shock and brittle fracture, essential for sour service and low-temperature applications (ASTM A370)
Universal Tensile Testing Machine (UTM)
Purpose: Measures yield strength, tensile strength, elongation, yield ratio, and stress–strain curves
Importance: Confirms mechanical properties for API 5CT grades J55, N80, L80, P110
Advantage: Supports faster MTC issuance and audit-ready compliance
Profile Projector (Mitutoyo PV-5000)
Purpose: High-precision optical inspection of thread profile, pitch, and crest/root radius
Applications: BC, LC, SC, EU, NU, and premium API threads
Advantage: In-house thread verification reduces dependence on external labs
Digital Rockwell Hardness Tester
Purpose: Tests surface and core hardness to ensure heat treatment consistency
Importance: Prevents over-hard or under-hard steel, critical for sour-service approval
Fluorescent Magnetic Particle Inspection (FMPI)
Purpose: Detects seams, laps, fatigue cracks, and other surface defects
Importance: Ensures pipe ends, couplings, and accessories meet API 5CT NDT requirements
Upgrade: According to the new API standards, we have improved our FMPI machine, increasing sensitivity and inspection accuracy
Advantage: Superior sensitivity, faster results, reduced rework/rejection
Product Realization, Release & Preservation Control
Petronich Pipe Solutions applies fully documented product realization, product release, and preservation controls for carbon steel pipes, in accordance with API Q1 quality management requirements and internal QA/QC procedures adopted from Jiangsu Taishun Energy Technology Development Co., Ltd. These controls ensure every pipe complies with API 5CT, project specifications, and international standards before delivery.
Integrated Quality Control Framework
Production Planning & Process Control
Batch-level production planning, controlled manufacturing processes, and standardized work instructions ensure consistent dimensional, mechanical, and chemical compliance.Equipment Calibration & Inspection Accuracy
All testing and inspection equipment is routinely calibrated and monitored to maintain accuracy, repeatability, and API compliance.Inspection-Based Product Release (TS/QP-18)
Carbon steel pipes are released only after incoming inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection are successfully completed and approved by authorized quality personnel.Identification, MTCs & Full Traceability
Each pipe is supplied with complete Material Test Certificates (MTCs), heat numbers, batch records, and certified release documentation, ensuring traceability from raw material to final delivery.Product Preservation & Packaging Control (TS/QP-14)
Pipes, couplings, and accessories are properly stored, labeled, coated, and protected throughout handling, storage, and transportation to prevent damage and corrosion.Thread Protection & Corrosion Prevention
Internal and external thread protectors, anti-rust coatings, and protective packaging safeguard API threads and sealing surfaces during storage and shipment.Warehouse & Inventory Management
FIFO inventory control, periodic stock assessments, and routine inspections preserve product integrity and readiness for dispatch.Controlled Delivery & Transportation
Certified personnel manage lifting, loading, and transportation using approved methods with anti-corrosion, moisture protection, vibration control, and weather-resistant measures.
Through these structured controls, Petronich Pipe Solutions minimizes operational risk and delivers high-reliability, API-compliant carbon steel piping systems for oil, gas, energy, and industrial pipeline applications.
